The Ash Hollow Historical Pageant began in 1993 with the celebration of 150 years since the first pioneers headed to Oregon. Pioneers were looking for land, religious freedom and wealth in the years of 1843 to 1864 on the Oregon - California and Mormon Trails.

“Wild West – the Final Years of the Oregon Trail”
Nightly outdoor performance with cast of 30 and trail band depicting life on the Oregon Trail in the 1860’s through pioneer diaries and music from the era. Set in beautiful Ash Hollow State Historical Park, guests sit on the Oregon Trail for this lively tale. Pioneers crossed the plains in covered wagons from the Missouri River going to Oregon, California and Utah from 1843 to 1864 when the railroad was completed.

July Pageant Will Tell Ash Hollow Significance
Ash Hollow - so significant in the history of Nebraska and the West - yet many of us have never visited it or even know its story.
The Oregon Trail - one of the most famous highways the world has ever know, crossed the high table between the North and South Platte rivers and descended into the North Platte river valley at Ash Hollow.
Ash Hollow - an oasis to weary pioneers on the dry and dusty plains offering a natural shelter against the elements. Its cool spring water the best to be found on the whole trail.
