altGarden County is home to one of the most diverse and fantastic birding destinations in the nation.  Vast migrations of Sandhills Cranes can be seen in the midst of their wild mating ritual.  Bald Eagles come to open water for the winter.  The diverse landscape of grassland, wetland, woodland, brush, and prairie attract birds of all kinds.  279 species of birds have been recorded in the Crescent Lake Wildlife Reserve alone.

The Silver Hill Museum in Oshkosh offers an official collection of local birds by artist/ornithologist/taxidermist Miles Maryott.

Visit the Garden County Birding website to learn more about self-guided tours.
